Your favorite local restaurant Don’t let the fact that they’re not advertising for private parties deter you. Just ask and chances are they’ll be happy to help.

Your child’s school Many elementary schools will let you have a short class party. No need to worry about invitations, renting space, etc. PLUS your child gets to celebrate with the entire class! Ask for permission and start planning at least 6 weeks in advance. Many schools are also willing to rent the cafeteria, gymnasium, etc.
Your Community Center, YMCA, or Place of Worship may have spaces to have a party. Try booking at least 6 weeks in advance. On the day of the party, arrive early to set-up, arrange the room, and hang decorations (remember to use party supplies that are “wall-friendly” like sticky-tack).
