The world of magic is often shrouded in mystery – but today this NYC kids magician is drawing back the curtain…
…to reveal some fun facts!
I’m married to my grad-school sweetheart! We’re celebrating our 8th anniversary. For our honeymoon, we went to Las Vegas and, believe it or not, didn’t spend a nickel on slot machines. We went to see the magic shows, of course!
My favorite sound is the sound of our son, Asher, and our daughter, Louisa, laughing.
I’m trained as an actor and educator. I trained at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in NYC, earned a M.A. in Educational Theater from New York University and a B.A. in English and Theater Arts from Rutgers. Yes, I’m a kids magician with graduate and undergraduate degrees. For my next trick, I’ll be making these student loans disappear… ;-)
If you asked me to name my favorite ice-cream… I’d pick Phish Food or Americone Dream or pretty much anything with chocolate!
I’ve worn many hats Before becoming a full-time children’s magician, I worked as a drama teacher, usher, PR intern, camp supervisor, busboy, sales associate, magic demonstrator, game booth operator, waiter, stage door attendant, house-cleaner, bakery mascot… and the list goes on!
I played Varsity Soccer in high school. Now it wasn’t because of talent. It was because I had heart. (the coach’s words – not mine… womp womp)
I have a kindle, but I refuse to stop buying physical books. The local bookstore is one of my favorite places. I just finished Gregg Hurwitz’s latest mystery/thriller Out of the Dark, and I am reading Aaron Dignan’s Brave New Work.
My first role was a munchkin/lollipop kid in my school’s production of The Wizard of Oz. I was in the 3rd grade, and I was hooked!
My Apple Watch brings out my competitive side. Running, weight lifting, cycling…it’s game on!
I’m fluent in Oppish. Like Pig Latin, Oppish is a gibberish language that’s completely useless and a lot of fun. Here are the rules.
You have a special event coming up that could benefit from a really fun and engaging entertainment experience.
The challenge is keeping your guests engaged and connected, while creating an inclusive experience that everyone – from ages 2 – 92 – will remember.
If this sounds like you, then let’s talk!
