Birthday Parties at Catbird Playground in Carl Schurz Park

- The trees provide plenty of shade to cool the kids down
- There are bathrooms nearby. Public restrooms are located in the 84th Street Pergola at the southern end of the Playground and in the Parks office.

The birthday boy was turning 6, and the theme was superheroes.
All of his friends came dressed as their favorite superhero, and got to romp around on climbers, slides, overhead ladders and rings as they arrived.
After 30 minutes of superhero action, the superheroes came together for my fun-filled, interactive magic show!
My favorite memory? Hands down, it was when the birthday boy, dressed up as Batman, was my magical assistant. The look of amazement on his face was priceless!
After the show, the parents served pizza and cake and sang Happy Birthday.
Finally, the little superheroes went back to fighting crime and saving the day on the playground.
Pretty awesome, right?
