Magic Trick of the Week, Lesson 14: Linking Paperclips
Invented by Bill Bowman and originally published in 1954, The Linking Paperclips is a fun trick that lends itself to all kinds of presentations and variations.
What I like most about this trick is that it inspires my students to come up with their own creative stories.
And, as Peg Neuhauser says in Corporate Legends and Lore, “Stories are the most powerful form of human communication.”
Materials
- A strip of paper or dollar bill
- 2 paperclips
