Hi, my name is Evan, or ‘Magic Evan,’ as known to librarians and families who look forward to my summer reading program each year.

After performing for hundreds of libraries and earning a Masters Degree in Educational Theater from New York University, I’m excited to announce this year’s summer reading library program.

Here’s a quick preview of what you’ll experience

  • Gone are the worries about a boring summer reading celebration. I deliver 45 minutes of squeaky-clean family fun right to your library – so be prepared for a large crowd! You’ll see kids (and parents) beaming, belly-laughing and actively engaging in the magic show.

  • Audiences leave feeling motivated to read more: I use my experience as an educator and performer to promote reading, problem solving, and the Build a Better World theme using interactive magic, storytelling, and squeaky-clean comedy.

  • Watch the books fly off the shelves after the show! After the show, I teach the audience some simple magic tricks and share real books they can read to learn even more. This irresistible call to action guarantees that books will fly off the shelves!
