The upshot? When you are making a choice on what to purchase for your child’s party, ask yourself if it will save you time.
If the answer’s “Yes!” then the purchase just might be worth it.
If the answer’s, “No,” then consider eliminating it or finding an inexpensive alternative.

Shopping, decorating, getting the place ready, cleaning… it’s a full-time job!
Consider how much time you could save – and how much happier you’d be – if you booked a venue.
Some venues take care of everything from set-up to clean-up, which is a pretty sweet deal.
Renting a space may not be cheap, but strolling into the party, spending time with your guests, and enjoying your child’s party? That’s priceless.
The Food
Virginia Wolf wrote, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
Food plays an important role in birthdays and special events…
…but that doesn’t mean you have to be in charge of it! ;-)
What if you hired a caterer? Had a cake custom made at a local bakery? Hired a maid for a couple hours?
Unless cooking is something you really enjoy doing, consider delegating snacks, food and/or dessert to someone else. You’ll be glad you did!
The Entertainment
This is another investment that’s well worth it.
If you don’t want to spend the party wrangling children, consider arranging an appearance by a professional children’s entertainer.
