How to Plan an Amazing Zoom Birthday for Your Child in 5 Easy Steps
Planning a zoom birthday party? Since “zoom birthdays” weren’t even a thing a couple of weeks ago, it’s hard to know where to begin!
Well, it’s time to get inspired 💡
If I were you, I’d be asking myself, “Why should I listen to YOU?”
It’s a good question! So let me introduce myself.
My name is Evan, and I’ve been a professional children’s magician for over 10 years. In light of social distancing requirements amid the COVID-19 pandemic, I pivoted and have worked closely with over 100 parents to plan some amazing zoom birthday parties.
Your child deserves the fun, joy and special memories that go along with having a birthday party. My mission is to share the information you need to make that a reality.
Planning a Zoom Birthday in 5 Easy Steps
Step 1: Pick a Date, Any Date!
With schedules turned upside-down, parents are planning birthday parties 7 days a week.
Some variables to consider when picking a time are the time zone(s) of your guests, your child’s age, daily routine, and whether your child’s best friend is available.
Step 2: Plan Some Interactive Activities
Add fun, laughter and special memories to the party by planning games, trivia or even a virtual magic show.
(I’m biased, but the last idea is my personal favorite..)
Step 3: Send Electronic Invites
It’s not official until you invite the guests!
Copy and paste the meeting info into your favorite electronic invitation service.
My personal favorites are Zmurl.com, Paperless Post, and Evite because they make sending great looking invitations a piece of cake!
Step 4: Set Up
Decorate, bake, clear the space and get ready to party!
Consider mirroring the zoom meeting to the television so that it’s easy to see friends and family.
If guests are local, you might go for a walk and drop off cupcakes so that every invitee can enjoy.
Step 5: Celebrate!
The day has come, and it’s time to have fun, laugh and party.
Remember to record the party so that you can look back and see how much fun it was again and again!
