Searching for virtual welcome activities for your child’s zoom birthday party?

Wondering how to start your child’s zoom birthday party?

If so, you’re in the right place!

I’m Evan, or ‘Magic Evan,’ and after performing for over 500 virtual birthday parties, I’ve seen the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly when it comes to virtual welcome activities.

In this article, I share 5 of my favorite virtual welcome activities for kicking-off zoom birthdays on a fun, interactive and exciting note!

Trivia!

Start the party with a fun, interactive game show where everyone has a chance to answer questions (the questions could revolve around a theme, the guest of honor, or any age-specific subject).

You can simply ask the questions, or take it to a whole new level with the Kahoot! app. Kahoot!+ makes it easy to create a fun and interactive game that everyone can play together

If I were planning my son’s or daughter’s party, I’d really get into the role of playing “game show host” (picture shiny vest, microphone, game show announcer voice, a ticking time clock, buzzer… oh man!)

Games!

Yes! Dance parties, scavanger hunts, bingo, and charades are just a few fun ways to kick off the party.

I really like the idea of playing just for fun, but you could also mail prizes or electronic gift cards to the participants if you like.

Craft Projects!

Engage and build excitement from the get-go with a craft project that segues right into the main event!

You can either mail guests the items they need, or send a supply list when they RSVP.

Successful projects I’ve seen are magic wands, jewelry, birthday signs… the skies the limit! Just imagine the looks of delight on the children’s faces as they wave their own magic wands to make the magic happen!

A Slide Show!

Before long, you won’t be able to get away with sharing a slide show sharing your child’s adorable, funny and exciting milestones… so milk this for all it’s worth, and enjoy every moment.

Simply Chatting!

Sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go.

If you have an interactive and engaging main event planned, then keeping the first 10-15 minutes for socializing may just be the perfect way to start.

There you have it!

Okay, let’s re-cap..
